What is Ruggable?
The Ruggable Rug using the Cling Effect technology is an easy-to-clean two-piece system. It is 100% machine-washable, water-resistant, and stain-resistant. It is made with polyester, with a polyurethane coating to help them repel water, and we’ve seen only minor shrinking in ours (just make sure you don’t wash them in hot water or dry them on high heat).
It is is a two-part rug system that allows you to wash your rug in your home washing machine (hallelujah!) or swap out the top part as often as you want for a new look at a fraction of the cost.
Experience With Ruggable
I placed my order which was super easy and they were delivered quickly and were amazingly packaged. I followed all the directions on how to assemble. Unlike most rugs, the Ruggable is a two-part system where the base (also known as the “pad”) essentially functions as one giant sheet of non-slip velcro. The top part of the rug is a removable, waterproof, stain-resistant, and machine-washable cover that’s ideal for messy and unpredictable households.
I like that the rug is attached to a nonslip Ruggable Rug Pad using the Cling Effect technology and this combination help keep it in place and looking its best. However, a rug without a pad can result in sliding, bunching, knotting, and wrinkling. That makes for a decidedly unpleasant surface to walk or place furniture on. A cushioned rug pad provides grip to hold the rug in place.
Is It A Quality Rug Cover?
In as much as this Rug cover is water-resistant and should hold up just fine when it’s wet. However, even though they are naturally mildew and mold-resistant, it should not be left sitting wet for prolonged periods of time.
They are machine-washable, which makes them easy to keep clean, perfect for pet and kid-friendly households that are regularly dealing with spills, accidents, and other messes.

How To Assemble
- Carefully cut the tape around the Rug Cover
- Unroll the Rug Cover
- Roll up the Rug Cover (Design side in), then fold it in half
- Unroll the Rug Pad
- Align the Rug Cover over the Rug pad
- Allow about a one inch overhang on each side
- Unroll the beauty and smooth the rug cover to adhere to the rug pad
- Do not tuck the rug pad into the rug cover
- If corners are lifted, pull the rug cover up and smooth the corners back down.
Conclusion
I bought the Ruggable, I’m so pleased with how they turned out. The product is hypoallergenic and made from non-toxic materials, so it’s safe for paws and little hands. I was able to hang them up in no time, and they look great.
