What is Lume Deodorant?
Lume is a deodorant that claims to blocks the ability of bacteria to consume fluids like sweat, semen, urine, and blood that lead to odor all while maintaining the healthy physiological pH of our skin.
Lume Deodorant claims to work by completely halting the odor-causing reactions on external skin. It is said that they inhibit bacterial growth, and it does that too while maintaining the healthy physiological pH of our skin.
Experience With This Deodorant
Usually, I sweat a lot and I’ve tried every sort of deodorant products out there and Anti-Perspirants. Even different body wash and stuffs because most products when you sweat heavily they tend to stop working with time.
This deodorant has this coconut scent and it is quite pricey though. When I started using this deodorant, it does not utterly stop me from sweating like most deodorants/antiperspirants, which one might not realize that is happening until you stop using them. I still had wet pits, and anywhere the sweat may drip or spread on my skin, it gets an odor if I did not apply the Lume there.
Does It Actually Preventing Odor Reactions?
It does not actually stop or prevent the odor reactions, at least not permanently. I used it like I have used other deodorants in the past but it didn’t give me any unique result.
Lume claims to work to control odor in any part of your body it might arise, including your feet. It works by preventing odor reactions on external skin but not totally, not until you stop using it. There is no medical evidence to support the above claims and it is not FDA approved.
Pros: Benefits
- It has a nice scent
- Got Delivered on time
Cons: Disadvantages
- It is expensive
- It is not FDA approved
- Does not totally prevent odor reactions on external skin
How To Use
- After having your shower, you dry off thoroughly.
- Elevate 2-3mm above the holes when using the deodorant stick. Dispense a pea-sized amount when using the tube.
- Apply a trace amount of Lume to the center of your pit and then rub the cream into the skin, extending the application area ~1 inch outside the hair-bearing area.
Conclusion
Lume odor control deodorant didn’t work for me, I still had to go back to using the deodorant I’m used to. It’s free of a number of potentially harmful ingredients. But it is not worth the price($15) at which it is sold. Some customers might not be able to afford it.
