What is Green Pan?
Green Pan was the first brand that introduced PFAS-free ceramic non-stick cookware to the market in 2007. GreenPan’s non-stick cookware claims to keep toxins from leaching into your food. It uses multiple layers of tough stainless steel that’s finished with the brand’s own ceramic non-stick coating rather than Teflon, heavy metals, or other harmful chemicals.
It works by distributing heat more effectively than traditional coatings, so your pan will get hot enough to sear a steak even on low to medium heat.
Experience With Green Pan
I received a Green Pan pan from my mom as a gift. In less than a year the non-stick coating was coming off. I’m one to carefully follow instructions – hand washed, stacked with bubblewrap between and successive pans. The one annoying thing is that everything sticks to these pans.
I’ve now gone back to using my old utensils, still virtually non-stick after half a decade. The customer service is appalling, they just blame you for using the wrong oil or cooking at the wrong temperature and they sent me tips guidance on how to use a frying pan.
Is It a Healthy Cookware?
No, it’s not and I would not recommend this product for anyone. There are a lot of negative online reviews from customers and it does not rub off the company nicely.
Greenpan does not comply when you apply for a replacement pan and they don’t do refunds too. Horrible experience, would never buy from them again. Customers should be cautious and avoid products like this one.
