What is Skinsense Serum?
Abi Cleeve is the MD of Ultrasun UK and the founder of SkinSense. The first Ultrasun formulation was developed and launched in 1992 by Tazio Tettamanti. Five years later, Cleeve stumbled across the brand while on holiday with her family.
SkinSense just like the name goes is a skincare product that makes sense to your skin needs.
It contained ingredients such as Aqua, Dicaprylyl Ether, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Stearyl Alcohol, Pentaerythrityl Distearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Phosphate, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Arginine, Propanediol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Hydroxyacetophenone, Parfum, Diisopropyl Adipate, Lecithin, Acrylic Acid/Acrylamidomethyl Propane.
Experience With Retinol Serum
Skinsense has a lot of of cutomer reviews online and because I have been battling with acne for long now, I decided to give it a go.
I have not used it for that long, barely a month. I used it as a 10mins mask and also as an overnight mask. I can’t really tell if it made any significant difference to my skin at all, skin appearance the same, supposed to help with acne but nope. I wouldn’t give in to the hype.
Does Retinol Help With Acne?
Skinsense claims that the 1% Salicylic Acid Gel Face Wash penetrates deep into the skin, dissolves the skin debris that clogs pores, and eliminates acne-causing bacteria.
There has been a lot of positive online customer reviews but I would not advise any potential customer to give in to the hype. Maybe it’s too early for me to conclude but it didn’t make quite the impression in my experience.
Skinsense has made a lot of claims in skincare and has not really lived up to expectation. Like Qure skincare previously reviewed this product still has a long way to go.
Pros: Benefits
- Its packaging is sleek and expensive looking.
- Keeps your skin moisturized like every other skincare products.
How To Use
- Use once or twice a week.
- Apply a thin layer to cleansed facial skin and neck.
- Leave for ten minutes and rinse, or for a deeper treatment leave on overnight.
Cons: Critics
- Does not really work for Acne.
- There is no unique quality, it is just every other skincare products out there.
Conclusion
Skinsense Retinol serum is skincare product that claims to make sense to all skin needs but falls short of customers’ expectation as it does not have any unique quality that makes it stand out from other skincare products.
